Meet the Teacher: August 8

Please bring school supplies to Meet the Teacher! Also, child nutrition staff will be available to accept student meal money and free and reduced meal applications. Transportation staff will also be available to assist with online bus rider requests. No paper bus requests will be accepted.


Teacher Communication:

Head Start, Edison, and Chalmers parents: download the Class Dojo app and your teacher will provide the appropriate class code on Thursday


Lee, GJH, and GJHS parents: download the Remind app; no need to join classes as this will be done automatically. Instructions will be sent from the district on next steps once all classes have been rostered.


If you don't have a smartphone, you will still be able to receive messages via text message.

TEXAS TAX FREE WEEKEND AUG 9-11

During this annual sales tax holiday, you can buy most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks (sold for less than $100) tax free from a Texas store or from an online or catalog seller doing business in Texas.

All students (new and returning) must register online through parent portal. Don't have a parent portal log in? Contact your student's front office and they can assist you with setup.
