The Harmon Herald

19th Edition 2.5.16

Opening Thoughts...

Well I hope everyone has found their groove with their new students. We have closed out the first 3-weeks of the new semester at a fast pace!

Thank you to the administration team (including Ms. Miller) for holding the fort together as I was in Austin for the TCEA Conference Tuesday through Thursday and home sick Friday. The conference was great and the group that attended came away with so many great ideas - at times the sessions we attended were overwhelming, they had so much great information they had our heads spinning on how we could incorporate at our school.

Staff Spotlight

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I was born and raised in east Texas, but if I had to choose a place to call home for the rest of my life it would be in Welches, Oregon. Such a beautiful place and I could look at Mt. Hood out my bedroom window or while I'm teeing it up on the luscious golf courses.

What is your biggest fear?

Heights. I really have to give myself a pep talk before riding roller coasters or driving up really high bridges. I'm such a chicken at Six Flags!

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life. What would it be?

Fajitas!

List 1 pet peeve?

People not taking off their shoes when they enter my home, and leaving the cap off of the toothpaste.

What song would you sing at Karaoke night?

It would be "Rock with You" by Michael Jackson. One of my all time favorites.

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Denzel Washington. He is such a great actor and even better person.

Do you collect anything?

Golf shirts. My spouse is constantly on me to throw some away.

If you could take three items with you to a deserted island, what would they be?

Picture of my family

Holy Bible (NIV)

Solar powered radio

If you had a warning label, what would your say?

"Warning: You might grow attached."

How many years have you been in education?

19 years

How many years have you been in LISD?

6 years
