Midterm Study Event

Thursday, Oct. 15th, 6:30-9:30pm

Don't study alone!


Bring your laptop and your books and study with SUMMA!


This event is designed to bring together Sociology Majors and Minors at all levels to support each other in studying for Midterms.


We will have snacks and coffee to aid us in finishing our papers/projects and prepping for tests! Senior level students within the Sociology department will be available to answer questions!


We may also have cameo appearances by sociology dept. professors.

SUMMA Roundtable

Thursday, Oct. 22nd, 6-8pm

Women's Studies Lounge, 821 Anderson Hall

SUMMA Roundtable is a student driven discussion session, where young adults can enjoy a safe space to participate in discourse about social issues from a sociological standpoint.


The theme for each event will be announced for each session on Facebook during the week leading up to the event and will be grounded in relevant topics related to recents events nationally, locally and even here on campus.


We urge you to send sugestions for themes in a message via Facebook. We are listening!

Attention: Sociology Majors and Minors

Come review your course choices for Spring 2016. Sociology and CLA Advisors will be available to answer all of your questions. Students reps from SUMMA will also be on hand for peer advising.

Refreshments will be served!

Welcome our new Fundraising Chair: Dejah Davis!

  • Our Senior Member Nickie Castro is also the VP of Temple Veteran Association and made an important announcement, just asking that if we know of any veterans to please reach out and let them know about the organization.
