Teacher Appreciation Week
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
Hello NCCS families! We are so very blessed to have a wonderful group of people that we rely on to train up our children. They share our values, our ethics and our Biblical worldview and are willing to devote their time and energy investing in the lives of our most precious gifts, our kids.
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 8-12 (NEW DATES) giving us, as parents, the opportunity to celebrate the teachers who pour into our kids each day by giving them a little bit of bucket filling love every day of that week.
Please consider donating to help provide some gifts and treats for our amazing teachers at NCCS! The link to contribute is here, and feel free to reach out to us if you have questions or want to help with this effort.
Thank you,

A Day of Service to our Community
North Clackamas Christian School Serve Day
On Thursday, May 25, the whole school will participate in a morning of service. The elementary students and teachers will remain on campus, and the secondary students and teachers will go out into the community. This will be a rewarding day of being the hands and feet of Jesus!
Here is how you can partner with us to make this a successful day:
Look for a permission slip to come soon for secondary students.
We will need some additional adults to help out! If you would like to participate on that day and/or provide supplies for a few of the projects, please fill out this NCCS Serve Day Volunteer/Give form. Please be aware that interested adults must complete a volunteer application two weeks before the event, if not already done this school year.
Questions? Please email Carmen Moore or McKenzie Falotico.

It's Time for ASB Elections

Check out the link for the timeline, expectations, and Applications . Applications must be completed in order to be considered for the ballot, to serve as an officer or representative, and are available in paper form from Mrs. Hardy or the front office. We look forward to having many students participate in serving our student body through this leadership opportunity.
Class of 2023 Senior Bios
Nathanael Harris Nathanael came to NCCS at the start of his junior year and remembers this about coming: "even though I was one of the "new kids", I was welcomed by my peers who seemed to have a genuine interest in who I am and why I came here. I'll remember that for a very long time." As a senior, he spoke in chapel and also enjoyed the process of Valograms noting that spending the time together accomplishing a task - having a common experience - was fun and something he appreciates. Nathanael plans to attend racing school and earn his road racing competitor's license, with the ultimate goal of racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose", Romans 8:28, is Nathanael's favorite verse. | Davis BellDavis was at North Clackamas Christian for 8 years. In high school, he played soccer and basketball and participated in track. Davis's memories for all of his high school years are really centered around hanging out with friends and the fun times with sports teams, especially trips and enjoying being with people on the bus rides. Davis will attend Idaho State University with hope to become an EMT firefighter. He would also love to become a football coach and one day start a family. Davis's verse is from Philippians 4: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." | Emmi KerekffyEmmi has been a student at North Clackamas Christian School for 10 years. During high school, she played volleyball, sang in choir, and was active in ASB and National Honor Society. Her best senior year memory is choir tour, but she remembers in years past going to Haggen's after school and getting pumpkin bread. Emmi will attend Corban University to major in elementary education and biblical studies; her plan is to teach with an end goal of doing missions work. 1 Peter 3:15 is a favorite scripture: "But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect." |

Dallas HicksDallas has been at NCCS for 7 years. Following graduation, she plan to attend Oklahoma Christian University where she will major in exercise science and minor in music. She would like to become a pediatric occupational therapist. During high school Dallas played volleyball, was involved in ASB and NHS, and sang in choir and women's quartet. She has a fun memory from a couple years ago: Mrs. Hespen accidentally threw away Dallas's Starbucks cup, so on her lunch break, she - Mrs. Hespen - went to Starbucks to replace the cup and the coffee. For her senior year, choir tour is Dallas's favorite memory. She chose Isaiah 43:2 as her scripture: "when you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." | Hannah Stark Hannah has been a North Clackamas Christian School student for 15 years. A favorite school memory is outdoor school in 6th grade. Her favorite senior year memory is choir tour. Throughout high school, Hannah played volleyball and basketball and participated in track; she also sang with choir, women's quartet and worship team. Hannah hopes to make a name for herself in the future, and she'll begin working towards that as she learns all about interior design at the Heritage School of Interior Design. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" form Deuteronomy 31 is Hannah's favorite scripture. | Kiki HaywardKiki has been an NCCS student for 6 years, and she is planning to study education at Corban University. Her goal is to teach math and science at the high school level. During high school, Kiki played volleyball and has been involved in ASB and served as president of National Honor Society. A favorite high school memory is wall week during 9th grade where the class had a great time "listening to music, working together, and building friendships all while putting together our poster and lip sync." A favorite senior year memory is from Sleigh Bells when a lot of the senior girls got ready together and had fun bonding. Kiki chose Psalm 37:5-6" Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun." |

Update: Campus Improvement Project
During Spring Break there was major renovation work done in the gym breezeway and music building at the school, this included replacing siding, gutters, windows, lighting and paint, as well as installation of new secure entry doors at the gym breezeway and HVAC in the music room!
Thanks to the incredible donations brought in through the auction, the $60,000 raised will go toward meeting our goal of $100,000 to finish the remodeling of the last building. This work is scheduled to be done after the school year, the end of June. We would appreciate additional support to meet this fund need. If you are able to give to the Campus Improvement Project, please use the QR code below, or checks/cash are also accepted through our office. We also welcome any efforts to share this need with others in your circle of influence. Questions or inquiries should be directed to Sherri James.
Thank you to those who have already given to this significant project and in support of our school. You are making a difference to the future of NCCS and its mission!

2022-23 School Verse Passage
Ephesians 6:13-17 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
