Mrs. Jessica & Mrs Jennifer's Class
What we've been up to this week!
September 16-19
*Letter C
Cats, Cupcakes, & Cars. What can you find that begins with the letter C?
This week we had fun reading The Hungry Caterpillar and talking about what our favorite food is.
*Apples
We made apple pie and applesauce. Yummy in my tummy. :) The apple pie was everyone's favorite.
Red, Yellow, or Green. Which apple do you like the best? Surprisingly enough, most children picked yellow!
Our zoo phonics chant for letter c is "Catina Cat says C,C,C"
Make a letter C with your hands, pretend to wash your face with you paw.
The children are doing a great job remembering A is Allie Alligator, B is for Bubba Bear, and C is for Catina Cat. I love when they are looking at a book in our "book rectangle" and they see a picture of an alligator or a bear or a cat and start doing the hand motions and say the rhyme.

Making apple pie & enjoying the fruits of our labor. :)
Coming Up
Letter Review Week
This week we will review our letters, A,B, & C. There will be no show and tell this week.
*Five senses
So far this month, we have been seeing, smelling and tasting. This week we will be using our sense of hearing as we have a musical instrument march and our sense of touch as we make slime.
*Rectangles
Rectangles, rectangles everywhere. We will go on a rectangle hunt around the church and see how many we can find.
Enjoy your week!
