Change Wars

. . . to Change Lives!

Class Competition is Underway

Right now it looks like the Seniors are in the lead with the Freshmen and Juniors hot on their heels. Send in your donations and designate which class we should credit!

Grades 9-12 are battling to see who can help our 'Hope for Haitians' project the most by donating their change at lunch. The coveted prize for the winning class (in addition to the satisfaction of helping change the lives of the poor in Haiti) is two jeans days and a treat at lunch.

We need your help in collecting more donations. The overall goal is of this project is $600. If you have any spare change please send it with your child so they can donate it towards their class total. If you don't have a student in grades 9-12, please designate which class you would like you donation to be credited to and we'll take it from there.

Thank you for your support!

'After-School Special' is on March 24

Our St. Joe's Campus Kindergarten-Grade 6 students are invited to 'An After-School Special' in the Aquin Auditorium on Tuesday, March 24. And parents, you don't need to worry--we've got transportation covered!

For just a $5 donation per student to 'Hope for Haitians', our Kindergarten through Grade 6 students can watch the movie, 'Big Hero 6' in the Auditorium with their friends (Big Dawgs and Little Dawgs). Popcorn and water will be provided at no extra charge. Students can even bring a pillow or stuffed animal if they'd like. Students will be bused from St. Joe's to Aquin at 2:55pm. Parents should pick up students at the Aquin High School Galena Street entrance by 5:15pm.

Special Note about our 'After School Special':

  • 'Big Hero 6' won many awards this year--including a post-production Academy Award earned by Aquin Alumnus, David Okey (read all about it here!).

Forms will be coming home in the Brown Envelope on Wednesday at St. Joe's. If you would like your student(s) to participate in this awesome 'After School Special', please complete the form ASAP and return it to either campus office with your $5 donation per child by Friday, March 20.

We thank you in advance!

More Projects Coming . . .

Interact has planned even more fundraisers for Haiti including a breakfast and of course--a Jean Day. If Interact meets the goal of raising $750, the incredibly talented Mr. Shippy has agreed to play his harmonica during lunch hours.
