Nervous Tissue
Location
- Brain
- Spinal cord
- Nerves
The nervous system Generate and transmits nerve impulses to and from body organs via neurons. Dendrites enter a large grey cell body on one end of the neuron, and an axon leaves at the other end and extends towards the dendrites to form a motor endplate of muscle.
Muscular tissue
Location
- Heart
- Walls of hollow organs
- Associated with skeletal bones
The muscular system helps with movement, it moves blood, food, and waste through body organs. Its also responsible for the synchronous contractions of the heart, also known as heartbeat. Muscular tissue can relax and contract to bring movement and mechanical work in different parts of the body.
Connective tissue
Location
- Found throughout the body
- Surrounds and found between organs
Connective tissue, supports, binds, and connects structures. It also protects and cushions organs and tissues. Connective tissue has three structural elements, cells, fibres, and intercellular substance. Connects one part of the body with another and separate's one group of cells from another.
Epithelial tissue
Location
- Covers inside and outside body surfaces, including organs.
- Lines the cavities, tubes, ducts, and blood vessel's.
- Main tissue of gland
The epithelial tissue is responsible for the protection of skin, absorption of stomach and intestinal lining, filtration and excretion of the kidney, secretion of glands, and sensory perception. This tissue forms the covering and lining of all internal and external body surfaces, this helps protect the organs from damage.
