The Countdown is beginning!

It is hard to believe we have only 29 school days left in this school year. It has been such a blessing that we have been able to be in-person this entire school year! As we continue to count down and get closer to the last day of school, please make sure to encourage your child to continue to give his/her best each day.

It was great to have some families in the building this last Friday as they helped with the Fish Fry. From now to the end of school, we will keep moving the school forward in the hopes of being back to a more traditional-functioning school next year. Thank you all for all you have been doing & continue to do to keep the students safe and in-person.

There are some events coming up the next month that I would like to make you aware of:

  • Sunday, May 2nd - First Communion - Grade 2
  • Monday, May 3rd - Intramural Softball begins (more information below)
  • Friday, May 7th - 2nd grade School Mass Celebration of 1st Communion & May Crowning
  • Friday, May 14 - Grades 5-8 Battle of the Books vs. St. Francis Cabrini (more information to come soon)
  • Friday, May 21 - Middle School Retreat day
  • Monday, May 31 - Memorial Day (no School)
  • Wednesday, June 2 - 8th grade Graduation (more information to come next week)
  • Thursday, June 3rd - Olympic Day (more information in the coming weeks)
  • Friday, June 4th - All School Mass, last day of school, dismissal at 10:00

As we get further into May, I will be sending out an update with information about the 2021-2022 school year. Be watching for that.

Enjoy your weekend!

West Bend School District Free Summer Lunch Program

The West Bend School District Nutrition Department will provide free breakfast, lunch, and milk for any children in the communities it serves age 18 and under each week during the summer. Children do not need to be students of the West Bend School District to participate.

The West Bend School District is offering the free meals as part of a contract with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. No sign up is necessary.

The program begins on Monday, June 7 and ends on Monday, August 23. Children do not need to be present in the car when the meals are picked up. West Bend School District Nutrition Department staff will use a drive-through format to hand out five of each meal and milk for the week every Monday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at two locations:

  • West Bend High Schools south parking lot, 1305 E. Decorah Road, West Bend
  • Jackson Area Community Center parking lot, N165W20330 Hickory Lane, Jackson

Due to the Independence Day holiday, the free meals will be handed out on Tuesday, July 6 rather than Monday, July 5. The final day free meals will be handed out is August 23.
