The Last Straw
In March of 2015 I weighed as much as I did when I left the hospital after giving birth to my twins 15 years before. I hadn't been overweight the whole 15 years, in fact 5 years ago I weighed less than 150 pounds. Without realizing it I had gained about five pounds every year for the last five years! I also developed asthma, GERD, and arthritis in my lower back. Some of these I had previous to gaining weight but they were all getting worse despite being on daily medications. As the twins birthday approached I decided fifteen years of saying, "I had twins" wasn't fooling anyone. I needed to learn how to eat and feed my family better. No more excuses.

28 Day Clean Eating and Detox Challenge
In March of 2015 I did my first 28 Day Clean Eating Detox Challenge and my life began to change. Back in Janaury I did a 10 day no sugar challenge and was amazed at how great I felt after the first few days. This inspired me to try a 28 day challenge (28 days is intimidating) and gave me the self confidence to know I could do it. I had tried (and failed) challenges and diets before, however this one was different. For one I was motivated, (crossing into the 170's was really upsetting), and for two I had a support group on Facebook that was giving me daily inspiration and new knowledge I desperately craved, and finally I had made an investment in myself through buying the 28 day kit and I was not going to waste that money. I owed it to myself and my family to figure this out.
