Our Virtual Assembly Was Fabulous-Thank you PTA!

All grade levels enjoyed a virtual EXTREME SCIENCE assembly today. This was made possible by our PTA. All of our students and staff enjoyed this experience and we thank you! Check out this website to learn more! EXTREME SCIENCE

5th Grade Celebration and Car Parade (5th GRADE FAMILIES)

We will recognize our 5th grade students during an awards assembly on Friday, May 28th at 10:00. Due to COVID safety protocols, parents will not be able to attend.


We are inviting ALL 5th grade families (online and in person) to participate in a 5th grade farewell car parade. This is scheduled for 3:30 on Friday, May 28th. We would love to see cars decorated with English Landing spirit! The parade will take place at the back of the school in the bus loop. Please see the map below.

MAP Information (Grades 3, 4, and 5)

Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be taking the MAP (Missouri Assessment Program) during the month of May. A detailed testing schedule will be shared by your child's teacher. Please avoid scheduling appointments during your child's testing time.

3rd Grade Online: May 3, 4, 10, and 11

3rd Grade In Person: May 5, 7, 12 and 14

4th Grade In Person: May 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12

5th Grade Online: May 3, 5, 10, 12, and 17

5th Grade In Person: May 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21

Our younger students will be making motivational signs for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students who are testing.


Please make sure your children eat a good breakfast and get plenty of rest on their testing days.

Birthday Treats

Due to our safety guidelines, we will not be able to have food or other items brought into the school building for birthdays or other celebrations. If you are still interested in birthday treats for your students, our Food Service has options available for purchase. Click the file below for ordering information.

Summer School Information (Repeat)

Summer School Location: Graden Elementary; 8804 MO-45, Parkville, MO 64152


Dates and time for Summer School: Monday, June 7 through Friday, July 2 from 8:40 AM through 3:40 PM. Please note our summer school hours are slightly different from the regular school year.

How to register? Please visit the Parent Portal via Infinite Campus to complete your student's residency verification and under the student tab it mentions elementary and middle school enrollment, select “yes” when asked if your student will attend summer school. Infinite Campus will offer this option through May 5. As of May 5, parents will need to complete the “Late Enrollment” link on the website.

Office Contacts: The Graden office will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If you have questions about summer school events, please contact the office by calling 816-359-4340. Please communicate transportation changes, by phone, with the office no later than NOON daily.

Bus and Car Riders: First Student will communicate directly with families through email regarding bus stop and pick-up time for bus riders. Parents will also be able to access bus information in their Infinite Campus Parent Portal in May. If you have further questions about buses, please contact the Graden Office at 359-4340. Car rider procedures will be like the regular school year. More detailed information will be sent with your class placement letter.


Food Service: The breakfast and lunch menu can be found on the Park Hill website. Meals will continue to be free for all students through the month of June. A menu will be included with the class placement letter.


School-wide Activities: A series of spirit days and special activities will be planned throughout the summer school experience.

Class Placements: Families will receive a class placement email on Tuesday, June 1st. Your child’s summer schoolteacher will contact you the week prior to summer school starting to let you know your child’s room number and to verify transportation.
