Join the MVESC Curriculum Council Network to:
- Learn from others and generate ideas.
- Hear how others are approaching best practices, state requirements and common educational topics.
- Stay updated on current legislature, current research, state requirements and district happenings.
- Energize your leadership and learning skills through collaborative conversations, shared learning experiences and brainstorming.

June 5 - 9:00 a.m. Cyber Security PD Session
1. Current threats that are impacting everyone;
2. System-wide strategies to employ that keep you ahead of the challenges presented with cyber security;
3. Free resources to help you identify and address gaps in your security and
4. Connections with potential service providers that can perform assessments of your environment and assist you in securing your network.
June 10 - 8:00 a.m. The Grid Method Mastery Learning System
This interactive workshop will allow teachers to develop tiered Mastery Learning Grids to reach ALL students in a self-paced, student-led environment.

June 12 - 9:00 a.m. Human Resources and the Regulatory Environment with Lori Hall (Session 1)
The first session of HR 1 provides an overview of the program and defines the role of HR in an organization and how HR must function within the regulatory environment created by local, state and federal laws.

June 12 - 8:30 a.m. School Counselor Evaluation Training
The Ohio School Counselor Evaluation System (OSCES) Evaluator Training will prepare you as an evaluator of school counselors.
The presenter will use the Evaluation Framework for School Counselors as adopted by the State Board of Education in April 2016. The training will provide an understanding of the OSCES Framework and Model and allow practice of skills and sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation.
This training is required for the credentialing of school counselor evaluators.

June 19 - 9:00 a.m. The Employment Process and Welcoming and Retaining New Employees (Session 2)
In the second session, participants will examine each step of the employment process and crucial elements of onboarding and retaining new employees.

June 26 - 9:00 a.m. Leave of Absences and Wage and salary Administration (Session 3)
In the third session, participants will review situations that may necessitate an employee to take a leave of absence, including ADA, FMLA and workers compensation. Participants will also examine HR’s role in compensation and review the Fair Labor Standards Act.
