LGH Tech Times
Technology Happenings at Locust Grove High
Well that was fast...
November flew by in a flash! What a busy month! Things are starting to look "merry and bright" around the school. Christmas will be here before you know it!
Hiccups...
After the district's technology audit, many Chrome Extensions and web sites were blocked. I have heard from many frustrated students about blocked web sites that they previously had access. I have also heard from students that Infinite Campus is blocked and they cannot access their grades. We have put in "help desk" tickets for these items. Hopefully, these "hiccups" will be remedied very quickly!

I have been getting around to classrooms to talk about Chrome Extensions and demonstrating Kami. I would also like to get into classrooms to talk to students about Office 365 and accessing their emails. Sign up below. I have also told students that they can come by room 401 during advisory if they need help with anything. Please email me before sending to let me know they are coming. Thanks! debbie.turner@henry.k12.ga.us
Voice and Choice...
That is the difference between Personalize Learning and Differentiation. Some teachers have asked about different ways students can demonstrate learning. We can give them options! I created this demo for some science students that wanted a choice in creating brochures. There are variety of tools to use. Feel free to use. Voice and choice :)
The Design Room...
Where great ideas come to life! The Media Center is such a tremendous resource. Students can use low tech... i.e. markers, posters...and high tech...3D printers, stop motion, circuits etc.. to tinker and build. If you have students that are interested in learning to use any of the "maker space" tools, send me an email and let's get them started!
The End....
Congratulations! You have made it to the end of the newsletter! The first one to complete THIS FORM will be the proud recipient of a shiny, new Dunks card! Congratulations to Angela Rosen for winning the card last month!
