Girls on The Run needs your help in supporting the IVE Lift program...
Every season Girls on The Run will do a project to try to benefit their immediate community. This year our GOTR team voted to try to fill needs for our LIFT classroom and LIFT teachers.
We have been given a wish list of some items that they could really benefit from and we would love it if you would help us collect those items by sending them in with your student over the next week. Please see the list below and help with whatever you can. There will be a collection tub in the office.
WISH LIST:
packing tape
velcro strips
plastic bags
coloring books
snacks- preferably individually wrapped things like fruit snacks, granola bars, goldfish, cheeze its, popcorn
crayons
clorox wipes
baby wipes
gift cards to amazon or target
fidget toys
Please help us help them by being generous to our wondering LIFT team.
Girls on The Run- IVE- (grades 3-5)
No School - November 1
Halloween Costumes
Students are invited to wear basic costumes to school on Tuesday, October 31st. Families should work with their students to select costumes that are comfortable for the entire school day. Students need to be able to use the restroom in their costume without assistance. Please be advised that students may not wear costumes that contain any type of a weapon (real or play), blood, or scary costumes that are not elementary school appropriate. Also, no face paint for the school day.
Halloween Parade
We will be having an outdoor Halloween parade! We would like to invite families to join as spectators for this event. Siblings can attend this part of the day.
When: Tuesday, October 31st at 2:45 pm (you may want to start lining up around 2:30)
Where: Families will line the sidewalks from the red marquee to the back entrance (map below)
Halloween Class Party
Each classroom will have a brief celebration after the parade. Parents can attend the celebration, but we ask for no siblings (younger or older). The celebrations are designed for the elementary students in the classroom, and space is limited.
If parents would like to attend the classroom party, you can show your photo id, check in and get a visitor badge before the parade to assist in getting to classroom parties faster. After getting the visitor badge, parents will move to the parade route. The office will begin this process at 2:20 pm.
Dear IVE Families,
The holidays can be both a joyful and stressful time. We wanted to provide you with community resources that help alleviate some of that stress by providing assistance with gifts and meals. If you are in need of support, please contact the agencies as soon as possible. Many have an application process and may have limited resources. Also, feel free to reach out to Bailee Greenhaw, our school social worker, at bgreenhaw@bluevalleyk12.org if you have any questions or would like assistance. Your information will remain confidential.
