Midnight Regiment Weekly

Week of March 21st

Mr. Goodnight's Minute

It's go time! We have many things to accomplish over the next couple of weeks. It is important that we have full attendance and some productive rehearsals. Please look over all of the links below (Yes, ACTUALLY CLICK ON THEM) and make sure you are able to attend all rehearsals and performances. There are some changes as well as updates and the schedule of events, please make sure you are looking over these. If there are any conflicts with other activities just send me a message and we will work that out. It is definitely a busy time of year.

I am extremely proud of you and thankful I get to start my day with you in class. Let's really push the envelope and make the most of these opportunities!

Please check out all itinerary and schedule as there has been some changes!

Pre-State Contest at ECU

Ada, OK

We have been invited to the Pre-State Contest at East Central. Please check out the itinerary above.

Rehearsal with Guest Clinician

Saturday, March 26th, 9am

1003 Oklahoma 33

Perkins, OK

Please make sure you are in your seat ready to go by 9am. Not walking in the door at 9am. Mr. Britt from the University of Oklahoma will be our clinician for this rehearsal. This is a great opportunity and will be something we can ALL learn from!

Jazz Band

We need to be making lots of progress this week if we want to be successful this semester. I need people looking at their parts on their own time. Rehearsal every morning this week! All solos need to be added this week!

Band Booster Meeting and Band Banquet Committee

This Tuesday at 6:30pm is our band booster meeting. We will finish putting together a Band banquet committee to help get everything ready for our end of the year celebration. I ask that no senior parents are on the committee as this is a night you should relax and enjoy some of the "final" moments in band.

I would like for there to be 5-6 members on this committee. Let me know if you have questions.

Expectations

  • No food or drink in the band room. If you have food or drink please enter through the west or southeast doors and do NOT bring it into the room.

  • No cell phones during rehearsal. If you are having to sit and wait while I work with a different section then you need to be looking at your part.

  • Make sure you have your own pencil (Preferably 2) for rehearsal every day.

  • If an early rehearsal begins at 7:15am then please be in your seat ready to go at that time. Not walking in the door. I will typically open the doors between 7am-7:05am.
