Wimmer's Weekly
English IV, Yearbook & Writing Skills/Technical Writing
April 2nd-6th
Wow! How is already April? I hope everyone had a great long weekend...now back to business. We are well into our unit on Romanticism in English IV, preparing for the EOC tests in Writing Skills, and the yearbook is complete! What a great time to be in Room 115!
English IV
We are well into our study of the Romantic Period in England. This week we are continuing to read "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner." We will then read two of Wordsworth's poems and continue talking about Romantic themes.
Writing Skills/Technical Writing
This week we are focusing on the essay portion of the testing again. Today we finished a persuasive writing power point and tomorrow the students will write their last paper before the big test. We will do a little grammar (revising and editing) as well, before the week is through.
Yearbook
The yearbook is complete! This is very exciting as we have worked so hard to create this beautiful book. Now they are being printed and bound at the Balfour plant in Dallas, and we should receive them mid-May.
This week we will celebrate by beginning to plan next year's book.
