Martin Luther King Jr.
His effect on the world around him
His Legacy
Martin Luther King Jr.'s philosophy for America in the 1960's. Unlike Malcolm X, MLK wanted for fight for African American's freedom without the use of violence. King said that "Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.", meaning that they had to use non-violence to fight the racism and discrimination. Martin used his voice, protests, and dream to drive out segregation among the people of this nation and for that, we are humbly grateful.
Martin Luther King Jr. made an impact on not just the people of this country but the United States of America as a whole. He showed Americans how to achieve equality without violence and how to accomplish more when things might take a turn for the worst. Also, King influenced others to stand up for what you believe in and this caused the world to become a better place.
