Freshwater food web
I am doing my food web over the fresh water area. I have many animals in my food web they are sperated into primary consumers, secondary consumers, tertiary consumers, producers, and decomposers. The producers are algae, cattail, and plankton. Primary consumers are frog, medium fish(angel fish) , and small fish (danios). The secondary consumers are gulls, wading birds, and large fish. Tertiary consumers are osprey, and bald eagle the decomposers are bacteria.
Mutualism
In the fresh water all over the world algae and fungi work together to make communities called lichens.
Commensalism
In the fresh waters in many areas coral provide protection and shelter For the clown fish.
Parasitism
In the fresh waters mosquito sucks blood from animals to get energy.
Human impacts on fresh waters
Some humans make a big impact on fresh waters. We restrict the construction of dams which help fishes move around. We help protect wetlands areas. Some of the bad things we do that hurt the freshwater areas is global warming may lead to devastating floods, and pollution threaten groundwater supplies.
Freshwater turtles
Turtles have a huge impact in the freshwater biome. They are a consumer and they help the freshwater biome by eating the fish and being apart of the freshwater food web.
Freshwater alligators
Freshwater alligators have a big told in the fresh water areas. They are top consumers they eat fish , turtles, and other creatures. They have a big role because they kill off many animals so they won't over populate.
Freshwater catfish
Freshwater catfish are stay in the water fish they eat stuff in the water. They are consumers and help out its environment by eating smaller fish and not overpopulating.
