The Man, The Legend, Michael Jackson
Jackson was an African American. He was a songwriter, music producer, singer, and many other things. He has an estimated sale of over 750 million records worldwide. He has donated more than $300 million in charity, more than any other pop star through his Heal the World Foundation. Some of his videos, such as “Billie Jean” and “Thriller”, help bring the TV channel MTV to fame. He is one of the few artists to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. He has won 26 American Music Awards, more than any other artist in history. His album Bad, is the 5th most sold album to date. The same album also has the most number one hot 100 singles from any album. He performed at the halftime show of Super Bowl XXVII.
Some of his nicknames are the King of pop and MJ. The date of his death was June 25, 2009. The place of his death was at the UCLA Medical Center. In May 1994, he married the daughter of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley. His music video for “Scream” was the most expensive music video ever made. He played the role of the Scarecrow in the movie, “The Wiz”. He was the lead vocalist for the Jackson 5. Thriller earned 12 Grammy nominations and it won 8 of them.
He was born in the town of Gary, Indiana. He had a chimpanzee named Bubbles. He signed a $5 million endorsement deal with Pepsi-Cola. His documentary, “This Is It,” went on to be the highest grossing documentary of all time. He has three children, Prince, Paris, and Prince the 2nd, but his nickname is Blanket. His father’s name was Joseph Jackson. He was also a vegetarian. His sister, Janet Jackson, is also a solo artist. His first solo album is called “Off The Wall.” Vincent Price did the voice over for the music video of “Thriller”. He was also a songwriter, music producer, singer, and many other things.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Summary: In this movie, some chimpanzees are captured in Africa and brought back to the U.S. to be test subjects. And for one chimp, they test a drug called ALZ-112, which is a gene therapy drug which increases the intelligence level. But the chimp got out and went loose. This chimp was then shot down. Since this drug is a virus, The lead boss said the rest of the chimps were contaminated and said they all had to be put down. What they didn’t know was that she went berserk because she was being protective because she gave birth to a chimp. Will didn’t have it in him to kill the baby chimp(Caesar), so he took it with him. The drug was passed on from mother to son. Then as his life progressed, he became more and more intelligent. Will started this drug to help his father with his Alzheimer's disease. But as his father was being confronted, Caesar struck his confronter. Then he was taken to an ape compound to reside in. Caesar has friends and some enemies there. When Will tried to come take him home, he wasn’t allowed to. Something in Caesar, changed that day. What he sought now, was vengeance and equality. And then one day, one of the caretakers brought some friends into the compound to showoff. One of his friends went near Caesar, and Caesar grabbed a hold of him and took his pocket knife. Then he used the knife to make a tool to help him break out of his cage. He goes back into his old house. Caesar took a lot of the ALZ-112, and released it into the compound. Every single ape in the compound was infected by the virus. Then they escape, and the revolution begins! And if you want to see all the little side things in this movie, watch it for yourself!

why did I like it?: I liked it because it has a cool story, It has amazing special effects, it has Andy Serkis, It was nominated several awards and won some, and it was awesome!
