Hailey Cruz
Hi! I am Hailey Cruz! I am a FIRST year teacher here at North Scott! At North Scott Junior High I teach 7th grade science, but I also am a 6th grade ELA teacher at Edward White Elementary! I graduated from Davenport Central High School and from there continued my education at the University of Northern Iowa! In my free time I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, my step son, Drew (who just turned 3!) and with my 3 kitties, Rosie, Leo, and Milo! I was born and raised in Davenport, but recently moved to Cordova, Illinois! I am excited to begin my career in the North Scott District and look forward to becoming part of the community here in Eldridge!

Fall Bash
Living Lands & Waters
Living Lands & Waters is seeking volunteers to race the squirrels in getting acorns in the ground this fall! We’re hosting this ALL AGES event on Saturday, November 2nd from 9am-Noon, with lunch provided afterwards.
If you’re interested, you can register yourself or a group HERE!
Registering ahead of time is great so we know how many people to expect to make sure we have enough supplies and staff. Hope to see you in November!
This is not a North Scott School District publication. It is being distributed through the school district as a community service of the district to inform you of other community activities or services available.
Congratulations FFA Members
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!! 8th Grade Financial Literacy Fair 2019
On November 14, 2019 the 8th grade students will be attending a financial literacy fair here at NSJH. The fair will be hosted by representatives from DuTrac Credit Union. NSJH has participated in this fair for the last several years, and it has been worth the time and effort spent for the students to get a better picture of managing life finances.
We are in need of parent-volunteers for the fair. We would need volunteers in 15 different slots from about 8:00-3:00. Family helpers will come and sit at a table with a host from the credit union. Students will basically be playing the game of LIFE, with lots of good experience for them. Please fill out the Google form at the link below, or if you, or someone you know of, can help that day.
DuTrac Credit Union provides the materials and structure for this activity. We HAVE to provide 15 helpers for the day-- these can be broken down into morning or afternoon shifts, or if you can attend all day, we'll buy the pizza for you! This means that you would willingly admit you'll work for pizza. ;-)
If you would like more information before you commit, please email or call an 8th grade math teacher.
