What John Dalton did

John Dalton is mainly known for his experiments on gases which led to the observation of how pressure of gases resemble the pressures that gases exert while placed in the same space. Dalton discovered that the pressure that mixtures of gases exert is the sum of the pressures which each of the individual gases bring. To establish Daltons Law of Partial Pressures, Dalton worked on water vapor and watched how fast it would be absorbed or evaporated by air at varying temperatures to show the amount of water vapor collected when water is replaced by gas.
