AIDS In Africa

HIV and AIDS are sever conflicts in Africa that have taken a long time to get strong media attention. Between 1999 and 2000 more people died of AIDS in Africa than in all the wars on the continent. The death toll is expected to have a severe impact on many economies in some nations, it's already being felt. Life expectancies in some nations is already decreasing rapidly, while death rates are increasing. AIDS is one of the top causes of death in Africa. While only effecting slightly under 15% of the total population of the world, Africans account for nearly 70% of those who live with HIV and are dying of AIDS.
