D.E.A.R. Angels-
I am so sorry for the late notice but I am so excited to celebrate NV Reading week for the first time with our Angels that I couldn't help but throw in themed days to show our outward sign for our love of reading!
Nevada Reading Week is this week! For more than thirty years Nevada Reading Week has been celebrated across the entire state - from small rural communities to larger urban areas. Activities often include book studies, author studies, literary readings by renowned authors, book fairs, and family literacy events. The stewards of Nevada Reading Week include PK-12 school librarians, educators, the Nevada Department of Education, the Nevada State Library, public libraries, community leaders, students and their families.
Nevada Reading Week serves to promote a life-long love of reading. From students in Pre-Kindergarten listening attentively on a circle rug to their teacher’s riveting read-aloud to high school seniors engaging in rigorous discussions about a novel, the joy of reading is evident.
The theme for 2020-21 is "Change Your World - READ". Please see below for details about each day.
** Themed dress is NOT mandatory, if you choose not to dress in theme please dress in your winter Uniform **
Drop Off Reminders: Please No Parking!

In the mornings, parents/guardians are asked to drop off their children at the designated gate for their grade level in order to gain entry to the courtyard. Parents in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten are permitted to park in the east parking lot and may walk their child to the gate. All other parents must not park their cars during morning drop off. This will help avoid parents congregating in the parking lot and in the courtyard.
