Building Relationships
Our amazing educators have jumped into getting to know our Jets and will continue to build relationships and community. They are participating in a 25-day roll-out of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons that are an integral part of our learning acceleration.
This week, I will continue to visit every classroom. My focus will be on the social emotional learning such as community circles, lessons provided by our MDUSD Equity Department, and the creativity and expertise our own teachers bring.
I look forward to seeing you all at our Virtual Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 17 at the times listed below!
Welcome Back JETS!

IN-PERSON #FALLFORALL
MDUSD is proud to bring all students and staff back in a physically and emotionally safe environment! The safety of our staff and students remains our primary focus. While it has always been a priority, it takes on a greater role in our planning process now more than ever.
Protocols, procedures, and plans are based on Mt. Diablo Unified, city, county, and state guidelines, and are subject to change based on the latest information and data.
Holbrook is ready for students. Each classroom has been equipped with a bottle of disinfectant, hand sanitizer, student masks, a plexiglass sneeze guard shield for staff, and upgraded air filters (MERV 13). All sinks are working properly and are equipped with functioning district-approved soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers. Signage reminding families and students to wear a mask are posted around campus: hallways, common areas, and offices. Restrooms, water fountains, and a water filling station in the cafeteria are ready for students and staff.
