Mrs. Givens' 4th Grade

A Digital Newsletter to Keep you in the Loop

And just like that...we're half way through the 1st quarter!

We continue to work on and hone our procedure skills in our classroom. The students are learning and adjusting to a flexible seating environment. I continue to stress that the wonderful thing about our classroom is that you have the ability to move and find that "perfect" spot for you to work. Students know that if their perfect spot affects the learning of others, then I have the right to find them an even more perfect spot.

This will be my last printed copy of the newsletter - from this point forward it will be sent to you via the REMIND app, Email as well as a link will be posted on our Classroom Canvas page.

Thank you for your support!

Friday - 9:00-10:00 - Computers

As you now know we are becoming a "no homework" classroom. What that means is that your student has plenty of opportunities to complete all of their assigned work at school. If they choose to take work home then they are making the choice to have homework.

Students work off of a learning menu each week. This details upcoming assigments and allows them to check things off the list as they go. Starting this week, work not completed by Friday at 3:30pm will become working lunch the following week until it is completed. Students are given a 30 minute study hall every day following lunch so I expect them to be successful in completely their work.
