Mid-Winter Band Concert - Monday Night
Please consider coming to the Mid-Winter Band Concert on Monday, February 12 starting at 6:30pm. It's free! What a deal!
Did you know that John Philip Sousa, the famous band leader of the early 20th century was a huge baseball fan? The Sousa band even had its own team, of which Sousa was one of the pitchers. In 1925, Sousa was tasked with commemorating the 50th anniversary of the National League by writing a march which he titled The National Game.
The concert starts with the Wind Symphony performing The National Game March by Sousa, Danse Bacchanale by Saint-Saens and The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart.
You are not going to want to miss this!

Lady Roos prove to be the upset team of district 3-AAAAAA
It wasn't too long back before the season started, and the Lady Roo Hoopsters were ranked 5th in our 7 team district, only ahead of Fossil Ridge and Central. Well, Lady Roos proved them wrong!
The Lady Roos held on in overtime Tuesday night to defeat Keller for a second straight time this season to finish district 8-4 and take the runner-up spot for our District in the playoffs behind champion Timber Creek who finished district 11-1.
Being Senior Night, the girls were pumped up for this rematch, and they left it all on the floor. Leading as much as 8, to go down 2 with only seconds left, and, you guessed it, Anna (AJP) Jefferson Polk comes through in the clutch to send it into overtime.
In OT, AJP and Gabbie Huggins proved too much for the Keller Lady Indians and the Lady roos win it 48-44.
Anna finished her senior night with 23, Tyara "BIG TIME" Buckner put on the show of her life and added 14, Gabbie added 8, Nicole "the bionic woman" Martinez added a duece,
and Kara "Stonehenge" Rothrock added 1.
The Lady Roos will face North Crowley in round 1 of the playoffs TUESDAY NIGHT at Brewer High School.
Let's Go, Lady Roos!

Shortly after, Juni Ejere set up a beautiful ball to freshman Sara Strittmatter to make it 2-0. The Lady Eagles fires back off a corner bringing the score to 2-1. With minutes to go, McKenna Buchfink took a hit in the box getting the assist from Sylvia Watson off of a PK. The final score was 3-1, making the Lady Roos 2-1 in district play.
