To Do List:
- Emergency Bags: Last week to get a new battery for your flashlight...turn it in with your room number on it and we'll get it back to you with a new battery.
- Sign UP if you want a Fanny Pack/Waiter Apron Thingy for recess OR a lunch tote on wheels
- Uploading Photos: Have you found a way to send your phone/ipad photos to your grade level folder in the eBinder/Photos? Once you get a system going it is great as you can then delete photos from your personal devices.
- OPTIONAL: Sign Up for Health Preventive Screening for September 26th. We will have a few roving subs to help cover classes if they are needed.
- OPTIONAL: Interested in reading a book from home (or wherever) on a specific date from our PTA Facebook page? Sign here here if so.
Staff Notes:
- Writing Prompt Idea: Check out your Into Reading prompt (performance task) at the end of each module. Do you have this? Could this become our 'writing prompt(s) for the year? I will check in with each team on this topic during team meetings in 2 weeks when we work on your annual goals/evaluation conversations.
- K-2 iPad Headphones: We have 60 NEW (that now fit) headphones for the 60 new iPads in K-2. I am planning to put these on the top of each of the two carts for K-2 to share/use; however, we need to ensure they are all available and with the iPads when it's iStation testing time.
- Classroom Teacher Reimbursements: Miss Jodi cannot reimburse anyone if purchases took place before July 1. Check your receipts and be sure they are after July 1.
- Half Day Subs/Time Off: Half day ends/starts at 11:30; so if you ever have subs/days off just note that it doesn't necessarily fit your schedule or lunch times; but rather has to be the standard 11:30 time. Please note this in your sub plans if you need half day subs.
- Field Trip Notes: Be sure to include specialists/special ed personnel on all field trips to ensure we are following IEP, meds, special notes on students. I will calendar bus requests to the team and include special ed staff once I get bus requests. Permission forms do not have to be done; however it is important you know/track any kids who can't attend, and pack with extra drinks, food, meds, etc for kids who may forget basics.
- Dismissal/Attendance/Lunch Count: And look at us! We nailed it this week...so much better! Thank you for reading those end of the day messages TO your students (as some of them mis-read what they say)! Thank you for helping make it perfect and without mistakes!
- 5 Laptop Carts I'm still thinking how to make it best for all. Bottom line; we need to know where the laptop carts are. We should have the 2 NEW carts 'housed' in the East Computer Lab for anyone to check out. You can choose to check out the room as well or just take a cart. The other 3 carts (older ones) should each be housed in a grade level 3-5. Please provide me a better plan if you can think of one that makes them available for all and a plan for how to find each and every laptop when IT shows up and needs to find a specific cart or device.
- Schedules: I think we are up and running all schedules now....or super close to all schedules. If you see kinks/challenges/solutions for something to be addressed; please let me know.
- Old Newsletters: I have links at the very bottom of this newsletter if you ever need to find old newsletters. The links also seem to work better for me to use on my mobile device. Just a tip.
