Recent News
- 95% of the Class of 2021 have applied to a college/university
- Congratulations to the NHS Members of the Class of 2021 who were inducted on January 28th & 29th!!
- College Admission Planning Program was presented virtually to the students & parents of the Class of 2022
- College Planning Meetings have begun for the Class of 2022
- Second semester began on January 20th
- College Board will no longer offer SAT with Essay or SAT Subject Tests (see Standardized Testing below)
Class of 2021
- Counselors will send Mid-year transcripts when they become available in mid-February
- Seniors should be updating their Naviance account with all college decisions (see below)
- Counselors will be assisting seniors with making their final college decision this semester
- Remember to check the Private Scholarship list and update Merit Scholarship information (see below)

NCAA ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
- Check out the NCAA Information posted on our website
- Class of 2021 student athletes who have yet to celebrate an NLI signing or Division 3 Commitment will celebrate this spring
- Add NCAA as a "College I'm Applying To" in Naviance
- Make sure you register using the correct La Salle Academy, 400160
- Students who register with the NCAA AFTER 12/1/2020 must inform Mrs. Matteson for transcripts to be uploaded
- Transcripts are uploaded for students on the La Salle NCAA Roster through Naviance in September, November, February and June
- The NCAA has waived the test requirement for the class of 2021

Class of 2022
The college admission process is officially underway for the Class of 2022. Families attended a college session on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, regarding the college search process. The College Counseling Office and Mrs. Nancy Eagan, the Senior Associate Director at Providence College, highlighted the materials below:
- Narrow the college school list (High Reach, Reach, Goal/Likely, Possible/Probable)
- Evaluate the return on investment
- Log into Naviance and understand scattergrams
- Prepare for the application process
- Consider standardize test prep
- Better understand the FAFSA and admission process
- Prepare for a campus interview and campus tour
- Think about the college essay(s)
- Consider what teachers will write your letters of recommendation(s)
- Compile a student résumé
Class of 2022 College Planning Appointments
- Students who are in the building on the day of their scheduled meeting can attend in person; however, all parent(s)/guardian(s) must attend meetings virtually only on Zoom. Currently, school policy does not allow for in-person meetings.
- Please choose an appointment day/time that best fits your schedule. Students are encouraged to choose a time that corresponds to your free period, if scheduling an appointment during the school day.
- Appointment calendar and Zoom link login information can be found on your counselor's Bulletin Board in Blackbaud.
- You will need to use the student's La Salle Academy email to make the appointment.
- Please include names of all attendees and a phone number in the "description" section of the appointment slot.
- If you need to cancel the appointment please cancel through the student's calendar.
- The time slot for each meeting is 45 minutes.
National Honor Society
Students in the Class of 2022 with a 90.0 GPA cumulative unweighted GPA through the first semester of this year will be eligible to be considered for La Salle Academy’s Chapter of The National Honor Society.
Students will receive an email notification if they meet the scholarship eligibility requirement in early February. There is no scheduled date for a virtual or in-person induction presentation at this time.

Standardized Test Information
The La Salle Academy SAT School Day for the Class of 2022 will be held on April 13th.
For students who registered, test day information will be sent during the week of April 5th.
For students who were unable to register, please see alternative options for the SAT and ACT below.

- SAT Registration: The next exam available through College Board is March 13, 2021 (registration deadline February 12, 2021).
- Consider Free Test prep with Khan Academy or Schoolhouse World. Additional private test prep/tutors can be found on our standardized test prep list.
ACT INFORMATION

- ACT Registration: The next exam is April 17, 2021 (registration deadline March 12 , 2021).
Any student who needs a fee waiver must meet the qualifications listed on the College Board/ACT and can get their code from their college counselor.
