World Cafe Business Partnership Proposal
Wiley's United Nations Councils
Wiley's UN Councils were established to build relationships and the sense of community in small, multi-grade level groups with a parallel focus on building global competence. There are 26 groups that represent a unique nation. We have spent time developing teamwork, goal setting, and exploration of our assigned countries.
What We'd Like to Explore
We would love to explore how a local business might be able to support our councils as they take action to address either a local or global issue. The school has spent time familiarizing itself with the UN Goals of Sustainable Development for 2020. Alternately, business support could be useful in terms providing speakers to highlight experiences tied to the various nations.

Wiley International Studies Magnet Elementary
Wiley's International Studies Magnet Program attracts students from many different countries. These face-to-face experiences with other cultures make global studies come alive. Doors of understanding open wide as students learn about varied cultures, learn to speak different languages, and learn to use technologies important in our global society.
