Test to Stay Now Available In Grades K-6
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Naperville 203 began the rollout of its Test to Stay program on Nov. 2.
Initially, this optional program will only be open to elementary students in Grades K-6, as these students are currently ineligible for vaccinations. The program will be limited to students that are identified as close contacts within the school setting on or after Monday, November 1.
Please Note: Being identified as a close contact within the school setting is a requirement to participate in the Test to Stay program.
The intention of Test to Stay is to keep as many students in school as safely possible. Those electing to participate will be required to undergo SHIELD IL saliva testing on Days 1, 3, 5 and 7 following identification as a close contact. Testing will occur at the PSAC, 203 W. Hillside Road, from 3-7 p.m., Monday-Friday, on student attendance days. If a testing day falls on the weekend, participants must test on the next successive weekday.
If a student tests negative on Day 1, that student will be allowed to return to school and continue attending school unless one of the successive days yields a positive COVID result. A positive COVID result on any day would result in isolation/quarantine.
Parents and guardians of students eligible to participate in Test to Stay will be notified through a close contact letter that has been revised to include details around registration and scheduling. All students will need written consent to participate, regardless of their opt-in/out status for SHIELD Illinois testing.
