Hey, Big Top Kids Families!

Happy May! The school year is winding down, and summer is right around the corner. Check out this month's newsletter to read all the exciting things coming up in Big Top Kids. Below are a couple short announcements:


1. Please check the coat racks in Big Top Kids and Littles. Any jackets or sweatshirts left behind after service this weekend will be donated.


2. The deadline to register for Kids Camp is May 16th. If you have a child going to camp, use the link below or go to the Homestead app/website to register.


3. Please have kids finish all drinks, donuts, and cookies in the cafe area prior to entering the Big Top Kids room. It helps us avoid spills. Thank you!

Kids Camp 2023

Kids Camp: 2023

Homestead will be going to Kids Camp at Lake Geneva Christian Center in Alexandria from June 12th-15th! Kids Camp is open to kids going into 3rd-6th grade in the 2023-2024 school year. You Should have received an email with more details about camp. If you missed the email, go to the Homestead app or website to read more.


The deadline to register for camp is May 16th. Click HERE to get started with registration.


The cost of Kids Camp is $295. If you will be in need of a financial scholarship, please reach out as soon as possible, as the MN district has early scholarships available now.

SPRING GIVING CHALLENGE

During our Spring Giving Challenge, we are raising money for Don and Dawn Eischens. The Eischens are international church pastors in Indonesia. Our Spring Giving Challenge will go through early June, with Slime a Pastor weekend on June 10th & 11th. Please join us in encouraging the generosity of the kids of Homestead as they give to make an impact around the world!

Benny sold cookies before and after a Sunday service. He raised $74 for the Spring Giving Challenge!!! Benny's generosity helped the kids exceed their first goal of $100 to be able to slime Pastor Brent!

Kids who are starting 1st grade in the fall are invited to switch from Big Top Littles to Big Top Kids on Sunday, June 11th.

Kids who are starting 6th grade in the fall are invited to switch from Big Top Kids to Homestead Youth on Wednesday, June 14th. There will be a preview day on May 31st, when students can attend youth group with Pastor Brent and Pastor Anna.

Home Crew

Picture
Home Crew is an opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to grow in their faith, leadership, and relationships by getting more involved in the ministry of Big Top Kids. Home Crew helps in many areas of Big Top Kids and also meets a few times a year for Home Crew Hangouts.


If you have a 4th or 5th grader who would like to join Home Crew, reach out to Pastor Brent or Pastor Anna or talk to us at a weekend service.


Our next Home Crew Hangout will be Sunday, June 4th from 12:30-1:30.


If you have a child who will be starting 4th grade in the fall, he or she will be invited to join Home Crew later this summer!
