Ho Chi Minh City has a population of 10 million people. It is the economic center of South Vietnam. Before 1975 the city was called Saigon. They renamed it Ho Chi MInh City to honor North Vietnam leader. Since 1985, after much war, Ho Chi Minh City government relaxed their hold on people's business and let them have control, called Doi Moi. This lead to increase money and better economics making it a very popular city to visit in South-East Asia.
