Progress Reports and Homework Help

The first progress report of the school year was mailed home on Friday, October 19, 2018 and distributed to students during 4th period. If your student needs assistance, they can attend a homework help clinic after school, 2:30-3:30 pm, in the library and get help from teachers. The IMIN after school program also offers a quiet space in room 807 where students can work independently to complete their homework, use computers to access Google classroom, or work on writing projects. If parents have questions about their student's progress, they should contact the classroom teacher (generally, email works best). Teacher contact information is available in the Staff Directory on Madison's website under the About Us section.

Family Notices for the Week:

  • Modified Day on October 31; students are released after lunch at 1:05 pm.
  • Federal Survey Cards - Have you filled out the Federal Survey Card? If not, ask your student to take it out of their backpack for you to fill out. The signed forms are now due. We appreciate our Warhawk families following through.
  • Congratulations to the 150 Madison Warhawks who had perfect attendance in the month of September; students will receive a certificate in their advisory class on October 31 and Hero Points in recognition.
  • Winter sports get underway in November: JV/V Boys Basketball Tryouts will be on Saturday, November 3, 9 am to noon, and November 5 and 6, 4-5:30 pm, in the gym; Girls Basketball Tryouts will begin Monday, November 5 through Wednesday, November 7, 2:30-4:00 pm, in the gym. • The SDUSD Choice application closes November 13 for the 2019-20 school year. If your student already attends Madison via Choice you do not need to take any action.
