School Supplies

As we begin our 4th Nine Weeks, school supplies are beginning to run low. Please check with your student to ensure that he/she has a good supply of paper and pencils to end the year. Also, our class is running low on tissues. With spring allergies we are going through our supply quickly! If you have a box you could send in with your student, we would appreciate it!

Online Textbook:

Our textbook is available online. The website is: . Each student has a unique username and the password is eagles6. I gave each student a sticker with this information and asked that the sticker be placed in the front of their agenda. I have also asked each student to bookmark the site on their Chromebooks for easy access. In addition to the textbook pages, the site offers self-check quizzes, chapter tests, extra practice worksheets for each lesson, video tutorials, and virtual manipulatives.

Khan Academy

We have begun to use Khan Academy to reinforce concepts taught in class and ensure students are retaining these concepts. I will be devoting warm-up time at the beginning of each class for Khan Academy practice along with any time after lessons, reviews, and assessments. If students have internet at home, students will also need to dedicate time to work outside of class.

Note: This is the first time we have implemented Khan Academy in our classrooms. It will be a learning experience for all. If needed, we will modify and adjust due dates. I am available most mornings at 7 am for assistance.

If your child is struggling memorizing multiplication facts, please click here to access a quizlet game to help. The student will need to ensure they are selecting "term" first. With this quizlet game, students have the option of selecting flashcards, taking a test, playing the scatter game, or completing a time game.
