Good afternoon Nashoba students and families -

We hope you had a restful break. Please review the information below in this week’s newsletter. Also, be reminded that this coming Wednesday, January, 13th, is a true half-day for district-wide professional development and as such students will not be given asynchronous work in the afternoon.

We hope you have a great weekend.

MCAS Update

Please see this announcement from Commissioner Riley describing updates to assessment and accountability plans for this school year, including the postponement of the January 2021 special high school MCAS administration.

The last day of 2nd Quarter is January 29.

Big picture
School photos are in...

There was an initial miscommunication with Lifetouch. We had the understanding that photos were being sent directly to the students, however, they were sent to the school. If you ordered photos for you student you can pick them up in the Main Office Mon - Fri between 7:30 am - 3:00 pm. If you did not order photos and your student had their photo taken, there is a proof packet in the office. You can still order prints from these proof packets. You will also find their student ID in the packets.

From Guidance - to the Class of 2024

You may have begun noticing that you have been invited to meetings with your NRHS Guidance Counselor. These invitations come via email, so this is a great chance to remind you that the Guidance Department communicates with students via their school email for school related information. Please, Freshmen, check your school email regularly so you don't miss anything important! If you do not yet have an email invitation for a meeting, please know that I am still working on it - there are 219 of you that I plan to schedule before the end of January. (email =

First, you will receive the invitation. Then, the day before the actual meeting, I will send you the zoom link - it will be an easy way to remind you about your meeting. Your counselors are looking forward to getting to know you a little better and to answer any questions you may have.

Parents, please encourage your students to check their school email regularly. Student emails remain the same all four years, and we want to get our students any information they need.
