Principal's Post
Happy fall, happy October, and happy Friday, Mill Creek!
Many thanks to all who help make Mill Creek an amazing place to grow and learn, but I want to offer specific thanks to our Facilities and Energy Management Operations Mill Creek Team (FEMO) this week on the eve of National Custodian Day. Our FEMO Team works extremely hard to keep Mill Creek up and running and, most importantly, maintains safe learning conditions for our students. They deserve even more credit for the work they did over the summer, most of which occurred in some pretty hot temps when Mill Creek was sans air conditioning.
Let me extend our sincerest appreciation for our Mill Creek FEMO Team. Thank you Mr. Radcliffe, Mr. Towle, Mr. Blythe, Mr. Donello, Mr. Donovan, and Mr. Ericsson!

From the Desk of Mr. Murtha
As we have concluded September and head into October, I think it is safe to say that the 2021-2022 school year is in "full swing." October brings what is, in my opinion, the best weather of the entire year, and it also brings some great events to Mill Creek! Included are:
- A Fire Prevention Assembly for grades K-2 (as well as Fire Prevention Month)
- A BMX Character Ed. Assembly for grades 3-4
- A Basketball Character Ed. Assembly for grades 5-6
- Mill Creek's 6th Grade Halloween Howl and Pumpkin Carving Contest
- Our Halloween Parade and classroom celebrations to conclude the month
Having to conduct a very unusual school year last year where we were unable to hold these events, I so look forward to experiencing them with our students and Mill Creek Community this year! All of the events listed above involve bringing our school and/or greater Community together and serve to strengthen that Community.
Have a wonderful weekend, Mill Creek!
Mr. John C. Murtha
Assistant Principal
