Penny War results!
Students at Red Wing High School participated in a "Penny War" to raise money for the Red Wing Area Food Shelf. The Food Shelf serves thousands of people in and around our community and the students raised $225 in just four days. Dee Bender, member of the Food Shelf Board, gratefully accepted our donation.

Notes from the Nurse
In our schools, we have seen a rise in the number of students who are vaping or using e-cigarettes. Here are some facts that parents should know and a link to a parent’s guide to vaping. Please talk with your student to help us lower this growing and harmful trend.
The use of e-cigarettes is unsafe for kids, teens, and young adults.
Most e-cigarettes contain nicotine. Nicotine is highly addictive and can harm adolescent brain development, which continues into the early to mid-20s.
E-cigarettes can contain other harmful substances besides nicotine.
Young people who use e-cigarettes may be more likely to smoke cigarettes in the future.
