Tips for semester exams
Semester exams are around the corner and they could be a stressor for students and parents. Here are some tips to put in practice during the semester exam week:
1. Create a schedule to work at home and study materials in chunks. Students in MS leave school at 12:00. Plan ahead so time is used wisely.
2. Use study guides as a reference for what needs to be studied.
3. Encourage your child to use review classes as an opportunity to ask teachers about anything that is unclear.
4. Encourage healthy sleep and eating habits.
5. Provide time for relaxation. Taking a walk, listening to music, excising, etc.
6. Encourage a positive attitude and growth mind set.
Counselor's Coffee
This year we did a survey in October to get data from the first quarter of school on percentages of bullying happening in school, types of bullying, bystander behavior, etc.
The information gathered will help us lead our effort to bullying prevention and intervention and results will be measured again at the end of the school year.
Attached is the link to the presentation, please feel free to communicate with me if you have any questions or concerns.
