Young Shoshone Woman
Sacagawea was 16 years old when she traveled with the Corps Party in 1804. Along in the two year long expedition, she helped the men get from sea to Shining Sea. She was a guide to Lewis and Clark, and later near modern years did she become a model to Woman's Rights.

One-dollar Coin
U.S. Mint chose to have Sacagawea on the gold one-dollar coin, replacing Susan B. Anthony's dollar coin in 2001.
