EPS Staff Memo
Week Beginning Monday 14 September
A Reminder to all staff about PDP's you should now all be revisiting your goals and collecting evidence in readiness for our conversations which will begin this week for teaching staff. If you have any questions or concerns please talk with a member of the leadership team.
I have added a new link below by Will Richardson who is a world leader on digital learning. The article - Welcome to Educating Modern Learners offers us a lot to think about and cause to reflect on our current classroom practice. Again I would appreciate your feedback and thank those who take the time to send me an email after watching or reading a link that I have added.
Zanni will not be returning to us this term as her leg still has not healed to a satisfactory standard. We are all hoping that she will be fit and well and re-join us at the beginning of Term 4. Lynn will be taking some leave for the remainder of this term and we wish her well.

I have placed a reading in your pigeon holes entitled "How much does your behaviour policy weigh?" In view of our conversation at briefing on Thursday we would be interested to hear your opinion.
I have also placed a copy of the "Whole Body Listener" poster in your pigeon hole. Please take the time to talk about this with your class and explicitly teach what each body part does when the student is being a whole body listener. It will be good to see what improvements we can gain for our next assembly and how this affects your teaching in class. You can obtain further copies from Share Point in the Respectful School Folder under Resources.
LLI Reading Groups
Please remind your students to head to the literacy room to read with our parent volunteers on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8-45 am until 9-00 am.
Tarrin will cover Thursdays LLI Groups and Jo will cover Fridays Groups
Unfortunately Footsteps are now unable to provide this clinic this year.
We are now accepting class art for selection in our Art Gallery in Term 4. Please bring your art pieces to the close supervision area, before the end of term. On the back of each piece please put your students name, their age and title of the art piece.
Please remember to take your class attendance list with you and sign in at the high school office. We have been asked to log in the book provided any of the kitchen ingredients that we use whilst there so that they can be replace ready for the next class.
We are about to reorganise our Flexible Learning Groups for Term 4. Could you please think of the students in your class and consider if they would benefit from being included in any of the groups listed below. They may be included to develop leadership skills, social skills in a small group situation, to support the student who may be having some personal issues as well as supporting their learning program. Please have your students’ names and suggested groups to Helen by Friday 18 September. Our groups include:
Cooking, Cooking/Home Skills, Gardening, Origami, Fine/Gross Motor Skills, Ball Skills, Relaxation and Music Therapy.
An updated list of students who require learning plans is on the staff intranet page in the staff information folder. Can you please check to see if you have any students who need one.
