Thank You!!!
The 4th Grade Team would like to say thank you for a wonderful year. We know it has been full of challenges, but we appreciate all your hard work and dedication. Let's finish out the next few weeks and get ready for SUMMER!!!
Announcements
Beginning Monday, April 19th, you will receive an email from the K12 research group with a link to complete a survey for the 7 Mindsets. The survey should take you around 8 minutes to complete with 21 questions. K12 aims to continue to provide the highest quality education, and your responses help make that possible. Any information you give will be kept strictly confidential and will be reported in collection along with the feedback of others. Please take the time to answer honestly; there are no right or wrong answers.
If you need help with the survey, please don’t hesitate to ask your Learning Coach, a caring adult in your life, and/or OVCA Teachers and support staff (CFAs, Admin, School Counselors). We are here to assist you!

Class Connect Participation
Since coming back from Winter Break, student participation has decreased significantly. Class connect times are designed to foster student engagement. Please encourage your student to participate, turn their cameras on, talk on the microphone or answer questions in the chat box. The more they participate, the more they will grow.
End of School Year & Returning Items
Our last day of school is Wednesday, May 26th. Do not return materials prior to this date.
K12 will provide prepaid UPS shipping labels to return materials to you. Labels will be sent prior to the first day of school. Materials can be sent back in any box, not just the boxes you received them in. If you need additional prepaid shipping labels, go to www.k12.com/support and select Click Here to Request UPS Return Labels found on the right hand side. Note: If you are returning to OVCA for the 2021-22 school year, do not return your computer.
To find out which materials should be returned, learning coaches should log in to their OLS account.
- Click the Learning Coach's name, located on the top-right of the home page.
- Click the My Info link.
- Select the student name, and then the "Orders" tab to see a list of all material orders.
- Select the order number that you would like to view.
- Scroll down to Course Materials to view a summary of your order; this includes a list of the materials provided for each course, the kit name/SKU number, the order status, and tracking information.

Re-Registration for 2021-22 School Year
Seesaw, Mindplay, and Exact Path
If you do not have your student's login information for Seesaw, Mindplay or Exact Path, please contact your homeroom teacher for that information.
You will be seeing Seesaw used a lot more often starting this quarter. Your student will have exit tickets, writing practice and other things in Seesaw. They should look under the "Activities" button to find those assignments.
The expectation is that every 4th grader spends 60 minutes a week working in Exact Path either on their specific Learning Path or on an assignment assigned by the teacher. The work that students do in Exact Path will be used in the gradebook.
The expectation for Mindplay is just like other courses within the OLS. Each 4th grader is assigned lessons with specific due dates in the OLS. They will be need to be completed just like all other course work. You will notice Mindplay showing up on the Bison On Track Calendar.
If you have questions, please reach out to your 4th graders teacher.

Media Release Form
OVCA is focused on providing a safe virtual learning environment. With this in mind, we ask that a legal guardian complete the below survey for each student enrolled with OVCA. The media release form includes two sections: Photograph, Testimonial and Interview Release, and Face to Face Platform (webcam) Usage School-Guardian-Student Compact. You will be given the choice to accept or decline each opportunity.
Together we can help students reach their full potential through personalized learning this year! Thank you for taking the time to complete this form.
