College and Career Week

January 13-17 2020

Mathews will partner with all Plano ISD schools in recognizing the importance of planning and preparing for college and future careers. Students will participate in a variety of theme dress days, campus activities, projects and guest speakers to increase their knowledge of post graduation choices.

Do you love your job? Come discuss your career with students

We are looking for guest career speakers to come and present to classrooms to discuss their career. Each speaker will discuss their career for about 10 minutes, as well as bring some handheld tools that you use in your daily work, and answer a few questions from the students. The time commitment would require about 90 minutes total. Please contact Mrs Toler if are interested in this opportunity.

Record a video about college or technical school

Are you willing to make a 15 second video (cell phone video is just fine) answering some questions about your college experience? We'll play your video (along with the other videos in your child's classroom during college week) You'll be given a list of possible questions and you can select one question to answer and record a 15 second video.

Our students in 4th or 5th grade would love the opportunity to skype or face time with a college student to ask them questions about college life. Do know someone who would be willing to help with that. E-mail
