ED Farm Innovative Fellows
As shared with you on August 3, 2021, our team has been selected to LEAD the innovative and intense work of implementing personalized learning and supporting teachers as they integrate technology into their lessons. As we should be expected to do, our team of media specialists will lead the way for APS teachers and students by completing the Innovation Fellows Program led by Apple through Education Farm (Ed Farm) by May 2022. We are the initial cohort of 100 fellows!!!! I am so excited for US! This is beyond huge. It has been years of advocacy and informing others of our skillset in and the value that we add to schools to get us to this point and time. Kudos to YOU for being the daily evidence of my advocacy. You are the best team and I feel super lucky to be able to work with you all. Now, on to the good-good.....😊
Who is ED Farm?
The Education Farm (“Ed Farm”) envisions an inventive world in which all people have access to the technology, learning experiences, relationships, and credentials necessary to fill or create the jobs of the future. Ed Farm is dedicated to working with superintendents, principals, and local and state officials to bridge this widening digital learning gap. Ed Farm is here to provide professional learning, virtual teaching strategies, development of digital skills, and individualized support that not only solves COVID-19 related issues but also is sustainable and scalable beyond the pandemic.

Day 12!
The beginning of the school year is a busy time for us all. It's the time for establishing routines and expectations for your students and staff. Don't neglect the importance of rehearsing routines with your students. It will save you from headaches later in the year.
Be sure to refer to the August checklist for reminders of tasks to be completed in your media center. You can find the August checklist in our Media Services One Note.
Don't forget to send out your 1st S'more by the end of August. Your school community is anxious to know all of the good things that are brewing in your media center! When you send your S'more, be sure to also send it to each other via Media Specialists in Outlook.
In addition to your monthy S'more, send a Tweet from your media center at least once a week showcasing the great things you have happening in your program. Be sure to tag @APSMediaServ, Patrice (@APSITPatrice), Jennifer (@JenWinSaunders) and Bridgette (@APSITB) in your Tweets!
