Language Arts
Over the next two weeks, we will be reading Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. Our overarching questions while reading this novel is "What are the many facets of heroism?". Each child also responsible for creating a diorama or shoe box scene related to the book. At the end of our novel unit, we will be watching the movie Shiloh shortly before winter break.
Writing
In writing, we are currently focusing on creating a brainstorming web that branches off of our big ideas as well as using good transition words to strengthen our writing. Our current prompt is focused on fun winter activities!
PATHS Kids of the Week
Jackson
Jackson's classmates say that he is a very funny, a great friend, a good hunter, and good at origami! Jackson is a special part of what makes our class so great!
June
June was absent for the last part of this week, so she will start out as our PATHS kid on Tuesday!
