Warrior Weekly
May 4-May 8, 2020
Words from the Principal
We truly miss our scholars. I don’t know if we can truly say we are getting into a groove but I hope each week is getting a little easier and that students are finding success in their academic work and learning new and engaging material. Through the course of the last weeks, TCMS staff has dedicated themselves to learn how best to reach our students and provide instruction around new concepts. Thank you parents and students for embracing our new reality. I know that none of this is possible without a partnership with parents and that you are all working equally as hard to ensure that we maintain a focus on learning whenever possible.
I want to thank you for all the time you are dedicating going through emails, Google hangouts, Schoology assignments. I am amazed and appreciate all of our students, staff, and parents.
Let's continue to collaborate in helping our students express their feelings, and helping them know that we love them. It is important for us to find a balance between providing them with learning experiences without overwhelming them. Remote learning is not just school in a different place – it is different, and it needs to look different. We will help our students catch up when we return to school. I’m 100% confident in that. Our staff is trained and will continue to receive training to differentiate, and to meet students where they are at, and they will also use some of this time to sharpen their tools in their toolbox.
Please know that you are all on my mind and in my heart. Continue to practice social distancing and stay safe.
Most sincere,
Kenisha Williams
Principal

Also, be reminded that our teachers are doing online sessions with students and they are doing a wonderful job with our students. Please stay plugged in to those sessions. Two assignments are due each week.
Finally, even if you do not have a computer, the project-based learning assignments can be accessed and turned in from your phone using the Schoology App.
