n. (Lesson Crashers) An eager IT Team that teams up with already great NISD teachers to plan and revamp a specific lesson incorporating technology in a way that not only meets content objectives, but is engaging and provides choice.

Derived from the HGTV "Yard Crashers" concept:
TV show hosts come in contact with people who are already working on their “passion project" by catching them in the act of prepping. The TV show doesn’t change goal, only adds expertise, extra hands, and follows the owner's dream.
WHY Should I Apply as a Teacher:
- Lesson Crashers works with teachers within their time frame (it doesn’t require extra hours on the teacher’s part).
- Lesson Crashers helps teachers meet their goals (teachers remain the content experts, but we add tech expertise).
- Lesson Crashers offers a strong pedagogical framework to work within. We promote student and teacher choice, focus on the outcome not on a particular tech tool, and help you meet specific learning targets, etc.).
- Lesson Crashers brings excitement and positivity, along with the mindset of collaboration and continual learning to your campus.
What is a "mini-crash?"
Mini-Crashes occur when teachers are willing to point out lessons that could be improved, and invite others in to a process of re-design. As IT Coaches, we love to come along side of teachers and offer insight on ways to incorporate technology in that meets content goals. Other resources include grade-level teams, content area teams, and even students!
