HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
Close out 2020 with Family & Friends
Wishing You All the Very Best for 2021
As I write my holiday newsletter we are 10 days away from 2021! The year 2020 was a very different, stressful, and challenging year; a year where we were all tested in more ways than one. The range of emotions was vast. And yet, we made it through the challenges and we continue to work hard, take care of one another, and bring our best in service to our students and families. I want to sincerely thank each of you for the contribution you make to the success of the Clarenceville School District and the success of our learners. Together we are making a difference in the learning experiences and opportunities for each of our students and one another maybe more than ever! THANK YOU! During the Holiday Season more than ever, my thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made our progress as a school district possible and that is all of you! And in the spirit of the holidays, I say, a simple but sincere Thank You to all of you and best wishes for the Holiday Season & upcoming New Year!!
To Tell or Not To Tell?
I must admit, I was scared and anxious of the unknown. So many things can happen, some good some bad and the patient doesn't have much control. My first infusion went very well. I have begun my battle in hopes of winning by the end of May or June when my treatments are over. I will be receiving infusions of 5 drugs/poisons every 21 days over 4 to 5 months. With each will come new challenges for me to overcome.
I share all of this with you because I care about you and our school district and mostly our kids. I want you to know that I will have to work from home due to my immune system is very compromised. I plan to work as much as I can and continue to be involved in all phases of this school year. I find great comfort in the fact that I have a strong Central Office team and a solid building level team that will keep us moving forward through our upcoming challenges. I also know and have much faith in each of you, the teachers of our kids, the ones who care enough to do what it takes to make this year the best it can be for them. You are all champions and heroes in my eyes! I know this year has not been easy and we are all missing being around the kids and one another. To me, our mission of All Means All still has the feeling of Clarenceville being a family. We may not always see eye to eye on everything but in the end, we all care about what is best for our kids. That is what makes Clarenceville a special place to belong to.
As I face a life-changing event I continue to reflect on my purpose and what matters to me as a person. It has always been my family first and foremost, like you, I would be lost without them. The second purpose to me is doing my part as best I can to make good things happen for other people. I am committed to you and our kids and I pledge to continue to serve our school community as best I can no matter what.
Again, please, please, take the time you deserve to relax, rest, laugh, love, play, and enjoy your family and those close to you this holiday season. I wish for all of you a time where you make new happy memories that you will look back on for years to come and end 2020 in a manner that puts a smile on your face and in your heart. I am looking forward to the time when we are all back together in-person as a Clarenceville Family.
