SUMMER ACADEMY FOR CREDIT RECOVERY!
Summer Academy is being offered to students in grades 9-12 from June 7th – July 1st, 2020. Teachers will facilitate two sessions of Content Courses scheduled from 8-11am and 12-3pm, Monday – Thursday. The Content Courses are available for those interested in CREDIT RECOVERY ONLY and will be offered as Credit Flex and a Pass/Fail grade. The exceptions are Physical Education (PE) and Health. Students may take PE and Health for new credit and will be issued a letter grade. PE and Health are open to current 8-12th grade students. Ohio State Test (OST) Prep sessions are also available and open to Reynoldsburg students only. Courses completed for credit recovery that earn a Pass/Fail, are not NCAA approved.
Summer Academy courses are a modified online curriculum. Students are required to attend online, virtual sessions or in-person sessions and actively work on their courses every day. Content area teachers will monitor student progress, offer online help sessions/office hours, and work with students daily. Missing more than one session MAY result in failure and without a refund of tuition for PE/Health courses. Teachers will email weekly performance summaries to parents.
Students may take TWO COURSES. PE and Health classes may be taken in addition to the two credit recovery courses. All courses are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. If taking tested courses, students MUST participate in instructional sessions before they can retake the OST. OST dates subject to change based on decisions made by the Ohio Department of Education.
More information about signing up for Summer Academy is located here, and the form to sign up is linked here.
