Rotation Sunday School
Christian Education Appreciation Sunday
May 19th- We will recognize and celebrate all those who have served and taught in the Christian Education Program during both services. Cake will be served during the coffee hour after the second service.
Plie, Chasse, Praise All Day Ballet Camp
June 24-27 (12:30-3:00 p.m.). This camp is intended for children who are between the ages of three years old - rising into the first grade. Ms. Julie Geggie, instructor at Manda's School of Dance in Clinton Township will be joining us to teach the children ballet steps and a special dance they will perform for their families at the end of the week. Julie comes to us with twenty years as a teacher of dance. Her extensive bio is posted on the Children's Ministry board. In addition to dancing ballet, each day will include a short Bible lesson, learning about friendship, sharing, and caring for others, arts & crafts, storytelling, cookie frosting, and so much more! The daily themes are as follows:
Monday: All Things Ballet
Tuesday: Princes and Princesses
Wednesday: Marvelous Mermaids
Thursday: Dolly and Me Tea Party (or favorite stuffed animal)
The fee for the camp is $25.00 per child (with a cap of $30.00 per family). Exceptions will be made for those who wish to enroll but are unable to do so due to the cost of the camp. Nobody is to be excluded. Children are asked to bring a plain white T shirt with them on the first day of camp. Registration forms will be available at the table by the entry doors and online, effective May 12.
Vacation Bible School
Join us on July 21-23 (6:00-8:30 p.m.) for our Roar VBS. At Roar, kids explore God's goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life. Children (three years old through entering the sixth grade) will enjoy lively worship celebrations, outdoor games, cinema, delicious snacks and so much more! On the final evening, staff members from the Paint Creek Art Gallery (Rochester) will lead the children in creating pinch pots and painting silhouettes of African safari animals.
The fee for VBS is $20.00 per person with a cap of $25.per family. Exceptions will be made for those who wish to enroll but are unable due to the cost. Nobody is to be excluded. Please be sure to register your child by July 1st. Registration forms will be available at the main entry doors and online, effective May 12.
Alleluia Art Workshop
August 6-8 (6:00-8:30 p.m.) Children who have completed kindergarten through entering the sixth grade are invited to enroll in the Alleluia Art Workshop where they will celebrate God's good and wonderful creation through painting, drawing with oil pastels, creating stepping stones, windsocks, and so much more under the very capable leadership of Ms. Laura Wass. Laura has been an elementary art teacher for fifteen years. She currently teaches at Eagle Creek Academy in Oakland Township. Snacks will be provided. Participation is limited to the first fifteen registrants.
