Dear Marian Senior Parents:

The 2018-19 school year is underway and it is time to think about Senior Pictures! Each year, these pictures are taken for the senior composite, which is hung in the Commons area and printed in the yearbook. Copies of the photographs may be purchased from DeWane Studio in Woodstock if desired. If you know that you will have special circumstances that preclude your student from participating in pictures at the time or on the day assigned to them, please notify Mrs. DiSilvio at 815-388-4220, ext. 107 or email at Please remember that these photos are the traditional yearbook “portrait” that features each student’s head and upper torso, which is why we require ALL students to wear dress pants or uniform pants and appropriate shoes.

Senior Women:

...will be photographed on Wednesday, September 19th. Appropriate attire on this day includes dress pants or uniform pants and a blouse or sweater that covers the shoulders. Dresses/skirts are not allowed. No nose rings/studs, facial piercing, and no more than two earrings per ear will be permitted on girls. Since students are expected to follow a full day of course scheduling, appropriate and comfortable shoes are recommended. High heels are discouraged.

Senior Men:

...will be photographed on Thursday, September 20th. Suitable dress on this day includes a white shirt and tie, a sport coat or suit coat, and dress pants or uniform pants. No nose rings/studs, facial hair, facial piercing, and no earrings will be permitted on boys.

Hair for girls and boys must conform to Student Handbook guidelines.

Thank you for your cooperation and your support of the dress code listed above. Congratulations as we celebrate this exciting milestone!

Parent Association and Athletic Booster meetings this week!

Our Parent Association will be holding their monthly meeting this Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the Annex! All things Homecoming will be discussed and finalized - so please help us make this an absolutely WONDERFUL event for our students!

We will also be hosting an informational meeting about launching the MCCHS Athletic Booster organization on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm. Anyone interested in joining this group, please join us for this important meeting in the school cafeteria!

MCCHS Family Directory

Family Directory

Marian Central’s Family Directory is now online! Each family will have the ability to view the demographic information of other Marian families directly through the Portal. Each family also has a choice of what information, if any, they would like to keep visible for other families to view. At this time, each family’s name, address and main telephone number will be visible to other families through the online directory. If you would like to restrict your information from viewing, please follow the steps below by Friday, September 21st.

  • Log on to your student’s portal.
  • You should see your name on the top right - choose “Directory Listing” from the drop-down menu.
  • If you would like to restrict viewing completely, uncheck the top box. If you would like to allow viewing, leave the check, then check only the information you would like to share (emails will not appear in the Directory).
  • Click on “Save Directory Settings”.

It’s that easy! Then, beginning September 24th, you can view the Directory by clicking “Directory” on the left side above your student’s photo. There you will find an alphabetical listing of those families who have chosen to share their information.

Please remember that this Directory is not intended to be used for solicitation of any kind. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 815-338-4220.

17-18 Yearbook Distribution!

Today, our AMAZING yearbook staff distributed almost 500 yearbooks within the 9th period class! The staff will continue to make deliveries for students who were absent, or have siblings who graduated (Class of 2018!) who were unable to pick up their books during the summer. Thank you for your patience as they work through this massive undertaking!

If your student did not receive a book, and you know you ordered one, please use this Order Inquiry form so our student-staff can investigate and serve yous student quickly.

Creation, marketing, and distribution of the yearbook has always been such a wonderful learning experience for our student-staff. Every year, our students learn how to take conceptual ideas and turn them into a finished product. They learn staff management, photography, copy-writing, graphic design and digital layout, time management, proper reporting and order tracking, and how to serve their customers. Their goal every year, with every book, is to feature EVERY student in the book THREE times - and go to great lengths to make sure that this objective is met in a meaningful way.

We hope you enjoy the yearbook as much as our Memorare staff , editors, and adviser enjoyed producing it!
