Wilder celebrates National Kindness Week February 15-19

Students will participate in engaging activities during the Advisory Block:

Monday 2/15

Student Holiday

Tuesday 2/16

Students will read kindness quotes and discuss how they can be kind to themselves and others.

Wednesday 2/17

Students will find an article, poem, quote, or a positive story in the media about a celebrity who has done something positive in their community or in the world. Students will share stories of kindness in the media with someone else.

Thursday 2/18

Students will watch “How you treat people is who you are” video and then review graphic of 25 Acts of Kindness and decide on some to do this week and month.

Friday 2/19

Unsung Heroes - Students will identify a hero in his/her community and brainstorm 3 ways to thank them for their kindness.

February Parent Teacher Conferences

GREAT NEWS! Teachers will be available the entire month of February to schedule conferences! Please reach out to your scholar's teacher if you would like to meet and discuss Q2 progress!

Course Recommendation Window Feb 15-Feb 26

The window for parents to accept teacher recommendations will open on Monday, February 15th and will end on February 26th. Parents will also be able to pick their student’s elective for next year. Please see attached flyers for more information on this process.

In-person learning starts March 1!

Please review the Wilder Middle School Return to In-Person Learning Plan. A virtual Town Hall will be offered on Sunday, February 21 and Sunday, February 28 5:00-6:00 PM. This is an informal meeting for those who want to ask questions about the in-person learning plan.

FREE GED Classes-February 18

Feel free to join us using this link (https://bit.ly/GEDclcINFO) this Wednesday at 6pm or NEXT Thursday at 6pm. We are having a live meeting for you to learn about the GED classes. We will be meeting on TEAMS, so any HCPS device should join without any issues.
